Nico
Not too long ago I had the opportunity to catch up with a good friend of mine Nick Tricarico who now goes by the name Nico. We've known each other for some time, and went to all the same schools growing up. Although for a few years our journeys were separated, we have found reasons to stay connected and that's something I'm super happy about. Nico's consciousness and perceptions are so marvelous that I had to find a way to share them with other people. (He does write and perform his own music, where he explains a lot about who he is and how he sees the world but I felt the need to show my appreciation). I asked him a few quick questions about his life, and it warms my heart to be acquainted with someone to grounded with himself and everything he surrounds himself with. Even though a lot of this is paraphrased in my own words I hope you enjoy.

When I asked Nico what has changed over the years he started by explaining his high school career as one that was full of unconscious decisions. Doing things and being around people that strongly shaped him to act without thinking. Without disclosing too much information I'll briefly mention that I too knew a lot of Nico's peers and I'm glad to report that he slowly but surely cut out all the bad things in his life. Knowing how negatively influential his companions were, he sought out a way to express himself. Nico eventually made his way into making music that had a "spiritual resonance". He mentioned how important it was to "live in love with yourself" and that he is now "writing for the light".
I asked him who are some of his influences and he immediately mentioned brother Tic Tac Toltecateskaocelotl, who is an old school cat from L.A. He is a master at pop locking and has been keeping dancing traditions alive for years now. Tic Tac has helped Nico learn about his people and their methods on living a more blessed life.
Nico wants to travel the world representing his culture, using his music to spread a cultivated message, and one day I hope to be able to join him in his journeys.
I've known quite a few people in my life and Nico is one of those who radiates love and respect, with a genuine sense of self. Everything about him is so uplifting and it blows my mind to see where he's at now. From when I first met him, through all those changes growing up, and now I look at him as a person I look up to because he knows who he is. I love you brother, keep on keeping on.
